Become an author.
Grow your influence.
Scale your impact.
With Stacy Ennis
Finally write the book you’ve dreamed of with this live step-by-step book coaching program.

Hi there. Are you ready to grow your influence, impact, and income?
You have great ideas, information, and stories to share with the world. You know becoming an author will allow you to influence more people and scale your impact. You recognize writing a book is key to unlocking the potential you know you can reach professionally and personally—and that a book can lead to a dramatic increase in visibility and income. And yet, your book is still unwritten.
- Maybe you’re overwhelmed with work.
- Unsure of how to start.
- Uncertain of your ability to write an entire book.
- And maybe deep down, not confident anyone would even want to read what you have to write.
This program will change that. I’ll provide you with the structure, tools, coaching, and encouragement to write an excellent nonfiction book you are proud to share with the world.

I’ve been right where you are now.
Back when I wrote my first book in 2013, I was uncertain of my own ability. I doubted my ideas, expertise, and story, and wondered if I’d be able to accomplish my lifelong dream of writing a book. But even though I was afraid of failure (and success), I did it anyway.
And then I wrote another book. And another. Along the way, my income doubled and doubled again. My latest coauthored book became a #1 bestseller and stood cover-to-cover next to books from authors like Brené Brown, Rachel Hollis, and Stephen Covey. I’ve flown all over the world delivering keynotes and trainings, and have had the opportunity to influence thousands of people through my writing and speaking. And that’s all because I was brave enough to sit down, write, and publish my first book.
As one client put it, “A book is worth a million dollars in revenue.” I’ll add: A great book is worth thousands of lives impacted.
You can have that level of impact—but first, you have to write your book. Luckily, I have a plan to help!

Your step-by-step book-writing process is here.
I’ve developed a step-by-step process to help you write your nonfiction book, drawing on my work with hundreds of aspiring authors through one-on-one coaching, live trainings, and ghostwriting. I’m passionate about helping people write their books, but my schedule only allows me to take on 1% of the client project requests I receive every year. That’s why I’m so excited to now be able to offer this group coaching format, to help you go from trepidation and uncertainty to confident, published author.
Over eight to fourteen weeks, we’ll walk through targeted trainings to guide you through each step of writing your nonfiction book, from idea to finished manuscript. I’ll provide the information, process, accountability, and encouragement you need. Think of me as your guide, your supporter, and a person who cares deeply about helping you finally, finally write your book.
I'm Stacy Ennis, your new book-writing coach.

I’m a bestselling author, ghostwriter, book coach, and speaker. Every year, I travel the United States to train people on book writing, messaging, and using the written word for impact. Over the last ten plus years in the publishing industry, I’ve written, ghostwritten, coached, edited, or influenced hundreds of books. I also served as the long-time ghostwriter for a Nobel Prize winner in medicine and as executive editor of a national magazine that reached around 11 million readers. I’m cofounder of Next Level Women Leaders, a training company that has trained leaders from Starbucks, The Boeing Company, Intuit, and more. My formal education includes a bachelor’s in writing and a master’s in writing and editing.
As a former high school language arts teacher, my training style is interactive and inviting. I want you to have a blast writing your book—because it is fun!
I’ve been obsessed with books since I was in second grade. When I’m not writing my typical 2.5 books per year (alongside a full speaking and coaching schedule), I’m exploring Portugal, where I currently live with my husband and two kids. I’ve also lived in the Dominican Republic, Vietnam, and Thailand. I’m a runner, reader (shocker!), and world explorer who believes life is a great adventure.

What you’ll learn in this live 8- to 14-week group coaching program.

These trainings will be delivered week by week
How to come up with a great book idea
I’ll walk you through the book-ideation process step-by-step in this live training. You’ll have an opportunity to share your idea with a partner, and receive exercises to further ideate and define your book idea. This training will also help you understand how to align your book idea with your life vision.
Create your book concept and clarify your audience and niche
This training continues the ideation process with a book concept, a one-page document that describes your book idea, core takeaways, audience, and other important elements of your book. I’ll walk you through what the book concept is, why it matters for the long-haul of your project, and how to complete it. Then, we’ll dig into how to clarify your audience and niche, including conducting research and interviewing potential readers. By the end of this training, you’ll have the tools you need to complete your book concept and write short, high-level chapter descriptions. Together, the concept and descriptions are the start of your book outline.
Learn the flow and structure of nonfiction books
This training details the basic structures of nonfiction books, and why storytelling is critical to the success of your book. We’ll examine which structure yours fits into, and you’ll revisit your book concept and high-level chapter descriptions through this lens to make sure your book is structurally sound and has a solid throughline—a guiding idea, story, or message that connects from the first to last chapters. You’ll also spend time in this training workshopping live in a small group.
Training 4
Expand your book outline
Then I’ll teach you how to plan your book like a pro. The goal: create an outline that is so well-organized that your writing time is efficient, effective, and—gasp!—enjoyable. This training will show you how to utilize your book concept and chapter descriptions to build out the rest of your outline. You’ll leave this training understanding how to finalize your outline so you can start writing your book.
Training 5
Create a writing plan and start writing
This training details expert strategies to get your book written. I’ll walk you through how to create and stick to a writing routine, get into the flow faster, and get more, better writing done in less time. I’ll also show you how to calendar out your writing using a template in Asana, a project management software program I love. I’ve refined this template over several years and multiple books, and it will serve as an invaluable resource for your entire book-writing journey. We’ll also walk through how to format your Word document as you write to set you up for success in the editing process. After this training, you will calendar out your book—and begin writing!
Training 6
Write like a bestseller
This training provides industry secrets to write a great book. I’ll detail roadblocks you’ll come up against during the writing process (self-editing while you write, anyone?) and show you how to overcome them like a pro. We’ll also cover bestselling writing techniques, including storytelling, voice, and more. I’ll provide support, encouragement, and accountability—crucial at this stage of the writing journey, because this is where many authors abandon their drafts. This module is designed to keep you accountable and on track as you write your book.
Training 7
The book-editing process
Along with keeping you encouraged and motivated to write your book, this training is all about book editing. As a former book editor, I love talking about editing! I truly believe this is the stage when a book goes from good to great. I’ll walk you through an overview of the book-editing process, including self-editing and working with professionals. You’ll receive my step-by-step book revision process and a book-editing checklist. We’ll also do a group check-in on progress to keep you accountable and moving forward.
Training 8
The three main types of publishing
Self-publishing, partner publishing, traditional publishing—oh, my! The world of publishing can feel like learning a new language, and this training is here to help. I’ll walk you through the three main types of publishing, and share a set of questions to help you determine the right path for you. You’ll also receive my What Will My Book Cost? guide to help you understand the costs involved in self-publishing a bestseller-quality book. At the end of this training, you’ll have clear instruction and direction to explore which publishing option is for you—and take the next step to share your book with the world!
You’ll get access to TWO pre-trainings right away when you enroll!

Pre-training 1: Define your vision
Once you enroll, you’ll receive my life visioning guide, along with a video to help you understand how to thoughtfully engage in creating a vision. I’ll detail why it matters and how you can keep your big vision front and center throughout your book-writing process. Creating a clear vision for your work and life, and making sure your book helps you get there, will significantly improve your chances for success in writing your book.

What clients say
The strategic book coaching Stacy did for my book LAUNCH: How to Get Your Kids Through College Debt-Free and Into Jobs They Love Afterward gave me the structure, clear direction, and shaping that netted me a long string of 100% 5-star reviews on Amazon, plus thousands of dollars in royalties in my very first week after release. She is infinitely gentle, positive, kind, and supportive to work with. 5 stars. Highly, highly recommended.
Stacy took me through the entire outline process and set me up for success. She was meticulous, supportive, focused, and her feedback was meaningful and helpful. I learned so much about the book-writing process through her and she helped me build a foundation for future books with her strategy and advice. It was truly transformational and empowering to work with her. I recommend her to anyone who has a book idea living inside them. She will help you articulate it, outline it, and bring it to life. Her expertise, skill, and professionalism is evident in everything she does.
Your questions, answered.

When does the program begin?
The program starts Tuesday, August 11, 2020.
What is the schedule of classes?
Each weekly module takes place on Tuesdays at 11 a.m. EST. If you’re part of the Motivated or Accelerated author cohorts, the thirty-minute live Q&A happens right after the training. Can’t attend a live session because you’re traveling or in a meeting? Don’t worry—each training session will be recorded and uploaded within 24 hours, and you’ll have lifetime access to the sessions and other resources. (To use for your next book!)
How do you deliver the live trainings?
What will you cover in the Accelerated Author six-week mentorship group?
One of the biggest motivators to finish your book is accountability. This weekly live group coaching session will tackle challenges through responsive trainings, as well as provide inspiration and group support. I’ll be asking you for writing updates, wins, and challenges each week, and providing responsive group coaching based on shared needs.
What is your methodology behind this course?
I’ve been in the publishing industry for well over a decade, and have written, ghostwritten, coached, edited, or otherwise impacted hundreds of books. I learn something from every author and book I work with, and have iterated my own writing and coaching processes over that time. For nearly two years, I have been working on the format and approach of this program; my wall is full of sticky notes from all of the “I can’t forget this in the course!” notes I’ve made over several months. This program brings all my learning together into a supportive group format to help you finish your book.
I also used to be a high school language arts teacher. Teaching writing to high school students, and then completing my own graduate studies in writing and editing, gave me great insight into how people learn. Because of this, my training style is interactive, inviting, and fun. I want you to enjoy the heck out of this process!
I’m writing a novel. Is this course for me?
This course is specifically geared toward nonfiction books. That said, I used a similar process to plan and cowrite Growing Influence, a business fable I coauthored with Ron Price. You will likely still get a lot out of this course, but I want to be clear that I will not be teaching you how to write a novel; the course curriculum is tailored toward big idea, how-to, and information-focused nonfiction books. If you join, be sure to let me know you’re working on a novel so I can share additional resources.
How is this different than every other “write your book” course out there?
Nowhere on this site will you find the phrase “Write your book in a weekend!” or “Write a book in just 14 days!” This course treats writing a book as more than a box to be checked off as quickly as possible. Books should be more than just a calling card for your business, and great books aren’t generally written in days. My perspective is that you should write the best book you possibly can, one that will have a profound impact on readers and your brand. This course will teach you how to write a great book—one that can stand the test of time, that you’re proud to share with the world. That takes months, not days. You can do it! I will give you the guidance to get there.
I’m on the fence. Why should I enroll?
Because you have a book inside you! You have ideas that need to be shared and a story that can change lives! I deeply believe in your potential to impact thousands with your thought leadership.
